ACA’s ESG Data & Analytics team offers a Carbon Neutral Certification for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), separately managed accounts (SMAs), portfolios, and other investment products. Through the certification, ACA performs an independent analysis of a fund’s carbon footprint and carbon credits (offsets) to verify whether the fund is carbon neutral during a specified period.
ACA’s carbon neutral certification is designed for mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts (SMAs), portfolios, and other investment products to help meet growing market demand for assessments of innovations that are intended to reduce emissions and support ESG and impact goals.
The carbon footprint consists of verified Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of every holding of the fund. Carbon credits require proof of purchase from an approved carbon credit provider. Once certified as carbon neutral, the fund will receive a Certified Carbon Neutral badge on the platform for financial advisors and investors, as well as through our network. ACA also grants publishing rights to the fund manager to promote the fund as certified carbon neutral.
